A DREAM.
From preschool till present day, I’ve been on the stage in some way. My career began with elementary school choir. I was blessed to have one of the best choir teachers in the United States, Tim Brophy. Our choir even got invited to sing for a White House Christmas party in 1994! From then on, I knew I loved singing.
In high school, this transitioned into a love for musicals. In 2002, I auditioned and was accepted to Kentucky’s Governor’s School for the Arts for Drama. The three week summer school for artists only solidified my passion. I came back and continued theatre and was offered several scholarships to universities and chose WKU for its intensive program, fantastic professors and unique opportunities.
From college, I moved to Nashville, TN to pursue theatre, film and voiceovers. In 2008, after doing several music videos, commercials and stage performances, I decided to make the move to Cincinnati to take my love for theatre and teach it to children- while still pursuing my own dream to be on stage. Here, I got my Masters in Teaching Theatre K-12 and began working at a Kentucky elementary school. I was teaching Dance and Drama to some pretty amazing students while also running a High School Theatre program that was filled with such amazing talent that not only did we place with honors and recognition at several state competitions for One Acts...we were selected to perform in the 2011 Edinburg, Scotland Fringe Festival!
I soon met some fellow theatre lovers who shared a similar dream of mine- to one day own a theatre company. So we did it! We opened our own company and it’s doing so well! Please visit our site!! www.unionct.net.
Now, I’m living the dream in Cincinnati. A theatre company, acting in shows, directing community and high school shows and teaching children to love theatre! I couldn’t ask for anything more!
